Forskning

Science

A couple of weeks ago I found that they searched for participants for continued study's about gaits in horses. After a first contact they found my horses interesting and sent out questions and material to collect hair for DNA analysis. Calinka participitates in a study about trotters and gait according to how well they work as riding horses. All Rockies except Tea is in a study about rocky gaits. Tea had to b excluded as the questions were about how easy the horses were to gait under saddle.

It was nearly as fun to find this article a out how he gene for gait is distributed around the world and that all tested Rockies possess two copies of the gene.
