Jul i Italien

All four photos below was taken within 10 minutes.
...first we left the playground and crossed this...

..then we saw this. It is an old building at the top, part of it is more than 1000 years old. In the front we saw two horses.
Passing between the buildings seen from previous picture.

To watch a garden at the other end that had hens.

What i find amusing in Italy is that some farm animals are keeps so close to neighbors. In Sweden you could not keep horses that close by in an area with so many houses, and probably not hen either (and if, there would be a lot of special papers written). Just about 10-15 minutes away is the center of the town, and there is a lot of houses all around, in "normal village garden size".

My husband has his relatives in Italy and it was some time since we were there so during the Autumn we decided to visit for Christmas and New Year. Luckily Maria and Mimmi could look after the horses a little bit extra and another friend that lives close by, and that I sometimes help with her horses, could cover up for the rest. That it should be pure ice on the road wasn't in my plans, but that that made it nearly impossible to work the horses anyway.

Even if the relatives lives in northern Italy the days was much longer and after a start with fog and rain we got many days with a clear blue sky and more than 10 degrees (Celsius) in the sun during the day. And, the sun was much warmer than here. Except meeting my husbands parents we also saw his brother and his girlfriend, his grandmother, an aunt and her husband and some friends from the time when my husband lived in Italy. Otherwise we didn't do much except eating, relaxed for a while and started eating again. For everyday I understands the words "Some people eats to live, Italians lives to eat" better... Of course we took some walks to enjoy the beautiful weather and I were also reminded by why it is so dangerous to go shopping with my husband; there is know-one that with so much joy finds a lot of things for me to try out, things that I shouldn't have chosen my self. Then he "forces" me to by them and they usually turns out to be my favorites...

Now I look forward to a new week with less food, but home alone with Isac. We hardly got home until my husband had to go to USA with work for a week. Maybe the horses get one more week of rest... But it was very nice to meet the horses today, even if Isac didn't agree a bit with that plan.
Close by Kristian's parents is a small hill that we walked around. Then, you quickly get to the "country side".
We had a Christmas tree as well, and guess who decorated it?
A typical picture of Italian "autostrada", but with less traffic than it can be.
In a small street in Rimini, on our way to a restaurant that serves a lot of Italian fish dishes.
Someone didn't like the food very much (except piadina) and hide under that table, he soon got company by our friends child that is among the same age.
I guess this is where we spent most of the time, exhausted after eating and just a meter or two away from the dining table.
