Sometimes I wonder what the horses really thinks about me, don't really realize that they behave better just to please me. Just because I am me. Recently  three of my horses shown it very obvious and that warms my heart.

Bunny didn't like when the farrier wanted to lift her hind feet. She looked scared and had climbed my lap is only she could. The farrier is gentle and didn't never talk harsh to her, saw her fear and reacted upon that. With some distraction we managed to fix her right hind feet. But the left one, no. Not even when he tried to lift it carefully forward. But, as soon as I asked her for her foot there was no problem. As trusting as ever. With some gymnastics, and some struggle we manged to change position so he got the foot and I hold the horse (I didn't tie her up as I prefer not to with more experienced horses) I am most amazed about that Bunny came to me for support, that she already trusts me, she hasn't been here long and I haven't done a lot of things with her.

Calinka isn't always the most fun to shoe when it comes to her hind feet, even if it gets better and better. It usually  is to get rid of the old shoe that is the problem. If I don that part, the farrier can work afterwards. As this time, or until the last hind shoe was getting attached. She didn't like that. Solution? I held the foot and the farrier attached the shoe.

Maria cuddled with Pepper a couple of weeks ago. He really likes attention and to be patted, but this time it wasn't good enough. He wanted me to do it, Maria wasn't good enough. Still, she has been handling him ever since he arrived in Sweden every now and then, so they are not strangers. So I just had to give him some attention.

Percy then? I don't have any special story right now, but she is a fantastic little horse. I am still impressed about her behavior when we trail rode in the dark the other day, or the second time I rode her , she got scared but stopped directly, or....
