Länsstyrelsen och hovslagaren på besök

At arrival, she even seemed to find it hard to move 100% properly.

Me  trimming little and moving in a big pasture got the front feet into this in 2 weeks.

After farriers visit
Today Länsstyrelsne (a Swedish Authority) came to visit and look at the shelter and horse keeping. A releife to finally get that done! There was some minor things that they didn't really like, but otherwise they seemed to think it was nice. As a back-up I brought my husband so he could answer if there had been any questions about the construction.

Hind feet have been looking like this all the time.
Bunny also got a visit from the farrier, her feet wasn't pretty when she arrived. We have been working on lifting her feet and she behaved perfectly with her front feet. We didn't try with her hind feet as she finds that harder and they have been looking much better all the time. That her feet got that bad was probably due to the quarantine, I find it hard to believe that she has as much space as now to move around into and her feet therefore turned ugly. At her former owners place all horses that I saw had nice hoofs -even if I was told that there was never a farrier that visited. The horses managed to trim their feet by them selves. My farrier complemented Bunny for her nice hoofs and had a hard time to believe that she probably never had been thru the procedure. At next visit we head for the hind feet as well.
